CCCI
Chinchilla Community, Commerce & Industry Inc
Until recently, the Chinchilla Chamber of Commerce (reformed in 1944) the Chinchilla Economic & Tourism Development Association Inc (CETDA, formed in 1994) co-existed for the betterment of Chinchilla and the local community. However, in 2007 it was decided to dissolve these two groups and start a completely new all-inclusive organisation to represent all the interests of businesses, industries, and the sporting, service and community clubs – in other words, “one voice” for the entire Chinchilla community.
In March 2009 an interim board was elected to establish Chinchilla Community, Commerce & Industry Inc (CCCI), define its structure and Rules of Association. This was accomplished by October 2009, and on 11 November 2009 CCCI held its inaugural AGM and elected its first official Board.
