![]() ![]() ![]() | Chinchilla is on the north-western edge of the Darling Downs, 309 km north-west of Brisbane, Queensland’s capital. The Great Dividing Range bisects the northern areas creating a dissected topography, with the Condamine River in the south-west, and the Auburn River in the north. The closer settlement occurs in the undulating areas of the Condamine River and includes the farming communities of Brigalow, Chinchilla, Hopelands, Burncluith, Pelican and Canaga. The Warrego Highway and WestLink rail pass through Chinchilla. There are approximately 3200 km of roads linking the local vicinity, consisting of National Highways, State controlled network, and local rural roads. Queensland Major Centres
